Short Bio
Dr. Kawis Aziz Faraj holds a Ph.D. in Bioscience and Biotechnology from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. In his current role as Vice President for Academic Affairs at Komar University, he fosters international collaboration with research teams across Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, and Germany.
He is a frequent presenter at international scientific congresses and symposia throughout Europe. His primary research interests include:
Modern tissue engineering and tailor-made “smart” biomatrices.
Oriented and gradient dual-layer scaffolds.
Fabrication of electrospun hybrid scaffolds (natural and synthetic polymers).
Knitted synthetic polymers.
